Mary Ellen brings over 17 years experience to Mountain View Speech Therapy, including six years in the Rehabilitation hospitals and eleven years working with children in private practice and in schools.
In addition to her private practice, she has been a contracted vendor to several school districts throughout Santa Clara County, Sacramento, San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties. She is knowledgeable with the IEP process, special education law and code.
Mary Ellen received her Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology emphasizing child language development from Oklahoma State University.
Since speech pathology is a continually advancing discipline with new methodologies being published on an ongoing basis, Mary Ellen maintains a continuing education program that emphasizes the areas of Sensory Integration, ADHD, Autism, Asperger’s, Apraxia, and Childhood Language Disorders.
